This documentary short by B’Tselem, an Israeli human rights organization, chronicles the atrophy and near-death of Bir Nabala, a residential suburb of Jerusalem near Beit Hanina. Bir Nabala used to be famous for its wedding banquet halls; as such, it was a lively connecting point for important lifetime social gatherings from the entire surrounding area.
The film traces the stories of two local banquet halls, and as the unique archival footage in this film shows, that all came to an end when Bir Nabala was completely enclaved by the Separation Wall.
