Omar, Musa, and Tayseer are three Palestinian high school students whose lives took an unfortunate turn in April 2020, when the Israeli undercover police arbitrarily attacked and arrested them. They were accused of throwing Molotov cocktails at a settlement and were held in a detention center. They were then released to a home arrest, which lasted 10 months, before they decided to turn themselves in to the detention center where they would serve the rest of their sentences.
In this video produced by Silwanic, the three young men from Silwan talk about the bitterness of home arrest and its impact on their academic achievements and social relations. They chose to turn themselves in, in hope of gaining back their lives and freedom.
