A Maison Bonfils photograph taken in the 1880s shows a coffee street vendor, dressed in traditional clothing and a Fez (tarboosh), serving two customers near an ancient wall in Jerusalem.
Maison Bonfils was a French family-run photography studio established by Félix Bonfils and his wife, Marie-Lydie. Along with their son, they produced thousands of photographs of the Middle East, including many images of Jerusalem and the Holy Land.
