Tallit

Fringed prayer shawl worn by religious Jews during morning prayers and on Yom Kippur. Not to be confused with the tzitzit, a similar garment worn under street clothes, it is usually made of wool or cotton and draped over the shoulders or head. Traditionally, only Jewish males wore the tallit, though in some reform Jewish congregations, women also wear it.
