The English name for one of the gates leading to al-Haram al-Sharif in Jerusalem’s Old City, not to be confused with Bab Haret al-Maghariba or Dung Gate, in the outer wall of the Old City. The Moroccan Gate is currently the only gate through which non-Muslims can gain access to al-Haram al-Sharif. See also Bab al-Maghariba.
