Bulgur

A whole grain made from cracked, parboiled wheat, most commonly durum wheat. Bulgur carries cultural and agricultural meaning in Palestine, as it represents self-sufficiency and connection to the land; wheat is a staple crop of the region. It is also valued for being nutritious, affordable, and sustainable. Bulgur is popularly used in classic dishes like mujaddara, shilbato, and tabbouleh, among others.
